BREAKING: Anarchist arrested for alleged $45K hit on Pam Bondi, FBI says
Breaking news at the top of the hour — the FBI has made an arrest in what they describe as a chilling murder-for-hire plot targeting former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. The suspect, a 29-year-old man from Minnesota, is accused of offering a $45,000 bounty for Bondi’s death in a TikTok post that quickly went viral, sparking an immediate federal investigation. The post reportedly featured a photo of Pam Bondi marked with a red sniper dot and the caption: “Wanted: Pam Bondi — $45,000, dead or alive, preferably dead.”
Authorities say the suspect’s TikTok account contained anarchist symbols and links to anti-government literature, including a pinned link to an “Anarchist FAQ” book. The FBI affidavit describes anarchism as a political ideology that seeks to abolish systems of authority, particularly those tied to capitalism. A tip from a TikTok user who saw the post in their feed prompted the investigation, leading the FBI, along with Google, Comcast, and TikTok, to track the suspect’s online activity through IP logs and email records.
Officials confirm that the suspect, who is now in custody, has a lengthy multistate criminal record, including a 2022 felony charge for stalking and discharging a firearm. Federal prosecutors say the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges could be forthcoming as they continue to assess the full scope of the online threats and any potential accomplices.
